Concept - Lord Lion, Lady Unicorn and the Birth of their Baby
The inspiration for the campaign came from the cover of a British Passport lying around the Glue Society office. The two creatures featured in the British Coat of Arms came to life as Lord Lion and Lady Unicorn (and baby) - the official ambassadors of the British Council ‘Realise Your Dream’ campaign. Special Effects - The Unicorn's Horn and the Lion's Mane
The Glue society turned to Kathryn Brown and the team at the Art & Technology of Makeup College in Sydney to help bring the ‘Royal Family’ to life. The references came from a wide variety of sources, particularly influenced by theatre costume of the 1920’s.
Production - Lighting the Stage and Tuning the Piano
All 6 films were shot on location in the Sydney suburb of Wahroonga. The Manor itself, skilfully lit and shot by Anna Howard DOP, housed an incredible array of antiques and artefacts which added to the rich aesthetic of the final product. The campaign was produced in conjunction with @radical media with FUEL FX and Sound Reservoir providing the finishing touches.
