The Realise Your Dream Awards are designed to accommodate various types of creative practice. As such, the application form asks applicants to address a number of general selection criteria. We are looking for applications that address our criteria in unique and innovative ways. However, it’s also important to get your message across clearly and concisely. It’s important that you communicate your achievements in your chosen field and your plans for success.
Applications should: - Clearly articulate the Applicant’s career goals
- Provide examples of relevant work experience undertaken in the chosen field
- Give us an indication of their talent, success and achievements to date
- Address how and why the UK in particular will play an important role in shaping the career of the Applicant
- Clearly outline the nature of the programme the Applicant would like to undertake should they be offered a 2009 Realise Your Dream award
In addition, where relevant, applicants should demonstrate: - Innovation in their creative field or area of work
- Initiative, leadership skills and community engagement
- Industry awareness
- Determination to succeed in their creative field
- Professional experience
- An ability to communicate talent and strengths
- Potential to strengthen relationships between Australia and the UK creative industries
