Realise Your Dream is open to citizens and permanent residents of Australia in their emerging years of professional creative practice. This means that you should be working within the first 10 years of your career – or since you finished your undergraduate degree.

We’re looking for applicants who show innovation and leadership in their field, can demonstrate their creative potential and have a clear vision of how they’ll benefit from a professional development trip to the UK. Realise Your Dream is open to people working in any area of creative practice including visual art, design, architecture, music, digital media and performing arts.

Applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and it is at the discretion of the British Council to determine the eligibility of applicants for an Award.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and be holders of, or eligible for, a passport and any necessary visas for the UK.
 


The creative industries can be defined as those areas of professional practice that have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a potential for wealth and job creation.

• literature and writing
• music
• the performing arts

• publishing
